Post-doctoral Fellow in the Centre for Advancement of Chinese Language Education and Research (CACLER) within the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 201309-03) (for 1 year from as soon as possible, with the possibility of renewal).
Applicants should possess (i) Ph.D. degree in Chinese Language Education or related field, (ii) possess solid statistical and computing skills, and relevant scholarly publications; (iii) be able to communicate effectively both in writing and in oral presentations in Chinese and English language. The appointee will work closely with Dr. Elizabeth K. Y. Loh and conduct research under her supervision in a predominantly independent manner, pursue investigations in the teaching and learning of Chinese as a second language and other related research studies. Responsibilities will include experimental design development; liaison with partnership schools and teachers; data collection, management, analysis and interpretation; and preparation for publications in peer-reviewed journals. Relevant work experience in teaching and learning of Chinese as a second language will have an advantage.
