Research Assistant I/II in the Centre for Advancement of Chinese Language Education and Research (CACLER) within the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 201800062) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, English language or other related fields. They should have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; familiarity with Statistical Software (e.g. SPSS) and MS Office application, including Chinese Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.; good interpersonal and organizational skills; self-motivation; a strong sense of responsibility; and be able to work independently and in a team.
The appointee will work closely with the Project Investigators to conduct researches under their supervision in a predominantly independent manner, pursuing investigations in the teaching and learning of Chinese in a multi-cultural/cross-cultural context and other related research studies. Responsibilities will include literature review; data collection, management and analysis; writing technical reports; video-shooting; organizing teacher seminars/conferences; and other duties as assigned.
