School Coordinator in the Centre for Advancement of Chinese Language Education and Research (CACLER) within the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 201309-04) (for 1 year from as soon as possible, with the possibility of renewal).
Applicants should possess (i) Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Education or Social Science or equivalent; (ii) a minimum of five years’ relevant experience on supporting educational research projects; (iii) good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; (iv) familiar with MS Office application, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc. Those with experience on supporting research projects related to developing school-based curriculum and/or teaching Chinese for non-Chinese speaking students will have an advantage. The appointee will be responsible for (i) oversee the learning community in relation to teaching and learning of Chinese for non-Chinese speaking students; (ii) liaise with network schools to form clusters with different themes; (iii) work with Principal Investigator and other co-investigators to conduct researches in relation to learning community; (iv) organize activities and seminars for seed schools as well as network schools; (v) write up evidenced-based research report; and (vi) perform other duties as assigned.
