Senior Research Assistant (two posts) in the Centre for Advancement of Chinese Language Education and Research (CACLER) within the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 210731) (to commence as soon as possible for 5 months)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Language Education, or other relevant fields; at least 3 years’ post-qualification research-related experience; high proficiency in English and Chinese; good interpersonal and organizational skills; commitment to educational research on language across the curriculum and ability to write research reports. They should also be familiar with MS Office applications (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), self-motivated and able to work independently.
The appointee will assist the Project Investigator to conduct research on the teaching and learning of Chinese language for L1 and multi-lingual students. He/She will be expected to review literature, conduct data collection, analyze research data, draft research reports and papers, provide secretarial and administrative support to the project, and perform other duties as assigned.
