Applications are invited for appointment as Part-time Assistant Research Officers (various posts) in the Centre for Advancement of Chinese Language Education and Research (CACLER) within the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 20210702), to commence as soon as possible until the end of September 2021.

Applicants should possess a Master degree in Language Education or equivalent. They should have proven capacity and 1-2 years solid educational research experience, and a track record of high-quality research in the field of language education and related areas. Excellent English writing skills and abilities to write professional report is a must.  In particular, the appointees should be well versed in quantitative and qualitative studies in early childhood education. Expertise on early childhood education, Chinese teaching and learning, Ethnic Minority and immigrant education, and culturally responsive pedagogy is preferred.  

The appointees will assist the Project Team to (a) consolidate data analysis of all different sections to become a coherent report; (b) conduct data analysis to find out in-depth correlations among the different intervention programmes responsible by different partners of the Project Team; (c) add further analysis on data collected; (d) conduct interviews of selected beneficiaries to enrich the findings and recommendations; (e) incorporate the logic model being built in 2020 to inform the forward plan of the Project; and (f) produce a professionally written executive summary and the final report for submission.
