Temporary Senior Research Assistant in the Centre for Advancement of Chinese Language Education and Research (CACLER) within the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 200602) (to commence for three months from September to November 2020, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language, Chinese Language Education or equivalent with 3-year post-qualification research experience; a good command of written and spoken Chinese; good organizational, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills; and a strong sense of responsibility. They should be proficient in computer literacy, self-motivated and able to work independently and under pressure. They should also be able to manage tasks effectively and efficiently. Those with experience in developing Chinese language teaching materials or conducting research work related to Chinese language education would have an advantage.
The appointee will assist the Team Leader and Co-Team Leader in overseeing the project and, under their guidance, design the learning resources. He/She will manage the supporting team comprising of the multimedia designer and part-time helpers to ensure timely delivery of the materials, monitor the project budget, liaise with internal and external parties, upload all learning resources to a specific platform provided by the funding body, draft all relevant reports, provide secretarial and administrative support to the project, and perform other duties as assigned.
