The research and development project intends to promote Chinese Language learning and cater for learning diversity among primary and secondary non-Chinese speaking (NCS) students, especially through curriculum planning and optimising learning and teaching with the Chinese Language Curriculum Second Language Learning Framework. The Project will (1) promote students' learning of Chinese Language, through conducting collaborative study in primary and secondary schools, and (2) build teachers' professional capacity in Chinese Language teaching for NCS students, through collaborative study and developing research-based teaching reference materials with practical guidelines and exemplars.
