The Project aims to enhance the effectiveness of learning Chinese as a second language, as well as students’ interest, initiative and performance with the use of tablet PCs (iOS platform) applications based on the principles of all-round learning and mobile learning; to develop a set of approximately 3,000 unique Chinese vocabulary e-flash cards (iOS platform compatible, with potential of future expansion into a shared resource within the education sector) specifically designed for independent learning, interactive learning activities with the participation of teachers and learners; and to enhance teachers’ capabilities in facilitating teaching and learning of Chinese as a second language by Hong Kong NCS students with technology-powered, shared resources, lesson plans and classroom experiences.
